Before You Start

  • Google Chrome browser (desktop)
  • An Instagram account (logged in via web browser)
  • Instagram Followers Exporter Pro installed from the Chrome Web Store
  • A spreadsheet application (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar)
1

Install Instagram Followers Exporter Pro

Visit the Chrome Web Store listing and click "Add to Chrome." The extension uses your existing Instagram web session for authentication — no API keys, no Instagram developer account, and no third-party logins required.

2

Navigate to any Instagram profile

Go to instagram.com and navigate to the profile whose followers you want to export. This can be your own account or any public account. Click on the profile to view their page. The extension auto-detects the username when you are on a profile page.

3

Open the exporter panel and start the export

Click the floating PlugMonkey button to open the exporter panel. The username is auto-filled from the current profile page (or you can enter any username manually). Select "Followers" and click "Start." The extension begins fetching the follower list with full metadata. A real-time progress bar shows records collected and estimated time remaining.
Important

Free users can export up to 250 records per download and 3 exports per week. PRO users have unlimited exports with no record cap. For accounts with 100K+ followers, the export may take several minutes — leave the tab open and let the extension work.

4

Review the exported data in the table view

Once the export completes, the data appears in a paginated table within the panel. Each row represents one follower with metadata fields: Username, Display Name, Bio, Follower Count, Following Count, Post Count, Verified Status, Private/Public status, and Profile URL. Scroll through the pages to review the data before downloading. The table is sortable by clicking column headers.

5

Download the CSV file

Click "Download CSV" to save the file to your downloads folder. The file is named with the target username and date (e.g., "nike_followers_2026-02-15.csv"). Open it in any spreadsheet application — Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, LibreOffice Calc, or import it into data tools like Airtable, Notion, or your CRM.

6

Analyze and use the follower data

Open the CSV in your spreadsheet app. Common analyses include: sort by Follower Count to find the most influential followers, filter by Verified to find celebrity/brand followers, search bios for industry keywords to segment by profession, and count followers by niche to understand audience composition. The data is also ready for CRM import — map the Username and Bio fields to contact records in HubSpot, Salesforce, or any tool that accepts CSV imports.
Pro Tip

Compare exports from your account and a competitor's account side by side. Use VLOOKUP or a matching formula to find followers you share — these are people already interested in your niche who might engage with your content if they discovered you.

Summary

You have exported an Instagram follower list to a structured CSV file ready for analysis in any spreadsheet application. This data enables audience research, competitor analysis, influencer identification, and CRM integration — all tasks that are impossible to do manually on Instagram's interface. The export works on any public account (not just your own), making it a powerful tool for marketing research, partnership scouting, and competitive intelligence. Run periodic exports to track audience growth and composition changes over time. Instagram Followers Exporter Pro handles rate limiting automatically, so exports complete safely even for accounts with large follower bases.
