Find the tweet with the video you want to download

Navigate to x.com and find the tweet containing the video you want to save. This can be in your timeline, a search result, or a direct link to a tweet. Click on the tweet to open it in full view — this ensures the video loads completely and Video Downloader Pro can detect all available quality levels.

For the best quality detection, click on the tweet to open it fully rather than watching from the timeline preview. The full tweet view often loads higher quality streams that are not available in the compact timeline view.

Once the tweet with the video is loaded, click the Video Downloader Pro icon in your Chrome toolbar. A badge number on the icon indicates how many downloadable videos have been detected on the page. The dropdown shows the detected video with available quality options — typically 1080p, 720p, and 480p for Twitter/X videos.

Select quality and download the video
