How Do I Use the Lead CRM to Save and Organize Findings in Reddit Scout Pro?

Reddit Scout Pro includes a built-in lead CRM that lets you capture, annotate, organize, and export the Reddit mentions that matter most to your business. Rather than losing track of promising conversations in a sea of captured matches, you can save individual mentions as named leads, attach notes for context, and apply custom tags to group them by theme, priority, or funnel stage. The Lead CRM is a Pro-only feature designed to turn passive monitoring into an active sales workflow.

Saving a Match as a Lead

Not every captured keyword match deserves follow-up — but when you spot one that does, saving it takes a single click. Inside the Reddit Scout Pro dashboard, each mention card has a 'Save as Lead' button. Clicking it moves the mention from the All Matches tab into the Saved Leads tab, where it is stored separately from the rotating match feed.
  • One-click saving — Click 'Save as Lead' on any match card in the dashboard. The mention is immediately moved to your Saved Leads tab.
  • Protected from auto-archival — Regular matches are eventually rotated out of the All Matches view as new results come in. Saved leads are never auto-archived. They stay in your Saved Leads tab indefinitely until you manually delete them.
  • Snapshot preservation — When you save a lead, Reddit Scout Pro captures the post or comment content at the time of saving. Even if the original Reddit post is later deleted or edited, your saved lead retains the original text.
  • Bulk save — You can also select multiple matches and save them all at once using the multi-select action in the dashboard toolbar.

Adding Notes for Context

Notes let you record why a particular mention matters, what action you have taken, or what you plan to do next. Each saved lead has a notes field that you can open directly from the lead card.
  • Free-text notes — Write anything in the notes field: 'Responded with comparison guide link — follow up in 3 days', 'This person is on the evaluation stage, high priority', or 'Competitor mentioned by name — track this thread for sentiment shifts'.
  • Editable any time — Notes can be updated whenever the situation changes. There is no character limit, and edits are saved automatically.
  • Notes travel with exports — When you export your leads to CSV (see below), the notes column is included. This means your annotated context transfers cleanly into any external CRM or spreadsheet.
  • Timestamp on saves — Each lead shows when it was saved, so notes written weeks later still have time context for review.

Using Custom Tags to Organize Leads

Tags give you a flexible, freeform way to group saved leads by any dimension that matters to your workflow. Reddit Scout Pro lets you create and apply custom tags to each lead.
  • Create tags on the fly — Type any tag name directly on the lead card. Tags are created instantly and reused for future leads with a single click from the tag dropdown.
  • Multi-tag support — Apply multiple tags to a single lead. A lead can simultaneously carry tags like 'high-priority', 'saas-founder', and 'competitor-switcher'.
  • Filter saved leads by tag — In the Saved Leads tab, use the tag filter to show only leads matching a specific tag. This lets you quickly focus on a particular segment — for example, all leads tagged 'needs-follow-up' — without scrolling through everything.
  • Tag examples by use case — Pipeline stage tags ('prospect', 'contacted', 'converted'), intent tags ('solution-request', 'comparison', 'pain-point'), source tags ('r/saas', 'r/startups'), or priority tags ('hot', 'warm', 'nurture').

All Matches Tab vs Saved Leads Tab

Understanding the distinction between the two main dashboard views helps you use the CRM effectively.
  • All Matches tab — Displays every keyword match captured by Reddit Scout Pro, ordered by most recent. This is your live feed of Reddit activity. Matches here are subject to rotation as new results arrive. Use this tab for triage — scanning fresh results and deciding which ones deserve to be saved.
  • Saved Leads tab — Displays only the mentions you have explicitly saved. This is your working CRM view. Leads here are permanent, annotated with notes and tags, and exportable. Use this tab for follow-up planning, pipeline management, and export.
  • Intent score sorting — Both tabs support sorting by buyer intent score (highest first), so you can always bubble up the most promising matches regardless of when they were captured.
  • Search within saved leads — The Saved Leads tab has a search bar that searches across post text, your notes, and tags simultaneously — useful when you have accumulated dozens or hundreds of saved leads over time.

Exporting Leads to CSV

The CSV export feature lets you take your saved leads — including all notes and tags — into any external tool: a spreadsheet, a CRM like HubSpot or Notion, or a reporting dashboard. To export, go to the Saved Leads tab and click the Export button. Reddit Scout Pro generates a CSV file containing all saved leads with the following columns: post title, post URL, subreddit, matched keyword, intent category, intent score, date captured, your notes, and all applied tags. This makes Reddit Scout Pro a data collection layer that feeds into your existing sales workflow rather than replacing it.
